Istrian Region includes 7 ports with regional significance: Pula, Brijuni, Rovinj, Poreč, Novigrad, Umag, and Plomin. It has a regular ferry connection with the island of Cres and regarding other passenger connections on the sea, there is a connection from Pula to Mali Lošinj (during summer season) and several connections to Venice and Trieste (also seasonal).
ACI marina Umag lies in the northern part of the harbour of Umag, 10 km from Kempinski residences and Skiper resort. This marina is a part of the Adriatic Croatia International Club (ACI Club). The marina has 494 sea berths and 90 dry berths, and all berths have water and power supply. From the 1999 ACI marina Umag is repeatedly awarded "European Blue Flag". This marina is one of the main ADAC and ÖAMTC information and service points. The facilities of this marina include: reception, exchange office, restaurant, toilets and showers, laundry service, grocery store, repair shop, 50 t travel lift, parking lot, seasonal maritime border crossing and Harbour Master's Office at the head of the eastern pier of the marina, permanent maritime border crossing in the main harbour, and a gas station in the vicinity of the marina (200 m).
